Academics:

  • The goal of academics at Wesleyan School is to provide a broad spectrum of learning opportunities within a Christian environment, wherein students are encouraged to reach their full potential.

  • Teachers provide critical and creative thinking opportunities through differentiated instructional methods. Students are exposed to decision-making strategies that provide them the skills to be valuable and resourceful citizens in their local communities and the world beyond.

  • Academic Support Services brings under one umbrella the many ways

  • Wesleyan works to ensure we are effectively and consistently supporting students in grades K-12. The program goal is to assist students with learning differences in becoming independent learners while successfully meeting the demands of Wesleyan’s academic standard of excellence.

  • Wesleyan’s Academic Resource Center (ARC) will provide a tiered program of service to Wesleyan middle school students with current psycho-educational testing and an active Learning Profile. The program is optional, based on recommendation by the administration, and will offer services to select students in grades 5-8 for a supplemental tuition fee

STEM Program Mission K-12:

  • Wesleyan’s  STEM Program mission is for every student to discover and develop their unique calling from God as a problem-solver in order to fulfill the Great Commandment. [Matthew 22:38-39] “We love God by obediently following His calling, and love others by helping them in their problems and needs.” His calling grants us each a unique purpose, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” [Ephesians 2:10]

Technology:

  • Wesleyan thoughtfully integrates technology into the classroom curriculum.

  • one-to-one laptop program for students in 5th through 12th grade – one Tablet PC for each child.

  • There are close to 1,500 devices being actively managed on the school's network.

  • All classrooms are equipped with SmartBoard technology, and all of the buildings on campus are setup with wireless internet for easy access to network and online resources.

  •  The high standard of conduct ensures safe and effective use of technology.

College Counseling:

  • As a college prep school, students leave Wesleyan prepared for college. Wesleyan’s college advising team wants to help students find a college where they will leave prepared for the real-world. Their team works with students through each step of the application process and into the college decision to help students find the college that is right for them. The end goal is not a certain number of “highly ranked” schools, but rather hundreds of unique students continuing on the path God has marked for them.

Arts:

  • Wesleyan believes that fine arts provide an effective teaching tool to foster creativity, problem solving, discipline, and confidence to complement the education of the whole child. The arts also serve as an important vehicle to convey social and multi-cultural messages.

  • In both lower and middle school, various art disciplines are part of the academic curriculum for every student. High school students are offered expanded programs in all areas of fine arts on an elective basis. After school, numerous fine arts opportunities are available for all grade levels including marching band, chorus, and theater.

  • For most sports, students may begin competing for the school in the 7th grade; athletes will continue to compete at the junior varsity and varsity level during high school.

  • Wesleyan is a member of the Georgia High School Association and competes in Region 5 of the A classification.

  • Over 90% of Wesleyan students participate in the athletic program.
