Unveiling the Secrets of Ravenna

Ravenna, the shared online portal for private school applications is designed to alleviate the admissions process—for both prospective families and admissions committees. Making it work for you and developing a consistent check-in system is key to staying on top of the application checklist.

1. Take your time to create a unique log-in. (Save this information somewhere or, you will primarily be using your own computer, you may opt to save the username and password on your computer.) You will note on the top of the page that Ravenna will automatically set the default application season to the 2019-2020 school year.

2. Add your first student. Pay special attention as you fill out necessary information on your child as this profile feeds into all school databases. 

3. Make sure you upload a current profile picture. Don’t skip this important step—admissions committees want a face to go with a name!

4. Fill out Education History and Family Information

Fill out household and family/guardian information at this point. Important to note: If your student has another parent/guardian living at a different address, be sure to note that in the application profile. This especially becomes important when content is released from Ravenna (you only have the option to select a “primary” recipient for all correspondence).

5. Starting today, log into Ravenna daily. Build it into your daily routine—either over a cup of morning coffee or in the evening you’re winding down the day. This is the easiest way to stay on top of all your information. Any changes to contact information should be uploaded as soon as possible into your Ravenna platform. Note that your profile will feed directly into all school databases on your application list.
