Empowering students to thrive.

School Placement

Partnering with parents and empowering students to discover their “best fit” school environment.

Your Advocate Throughout the Search Process

Atlanta’s private and public school landscape is changing and evolving. With the constant renovations of project-based learning, academic rigor, and extracurricular options, the opportunity for success grows—but so does the complexity.  That’s where we come in. An initial consultation allows us to understand your student's needs and goals, guide your family in the search for an educational environment that best suits your child, and coach your family through the entire school selection process so you make the most informed decision.

Whitehead Learning Group took the stress out of school placement, admissions, and applications. Expertise and insight helped us make the most informed decision for our children.

Relocation support

Relocating to any new city can be overwhelming. Whether a family seeks an alternative learning environment based upon academic achievement, geographical location, volume and variety of extracurriculars, assortment of athletics, class size, instructional model, parent involvement, community advocacy, fine arts, or college preparatory methods, an aggregate of elements must be initially considered. That’s where we come in— with a more investigative process of "reading between the lines" than researching advertised Atlanta Area school rankings.

Atlanta’s school landscape is evolving—in the 2021-2022 school year alone, there are over 35 elite AAAIS-membership private schools serving 22,248 students. In the Atlanta Area, there are 135 private schools serving 30,700 students.

We offer flexible scheduling and communication options to provide you with an advocate who cares about your decisions about your future as much as you do. We’ll connect you with a network of real estate experts, carpool parents, and community guides and advocate for you to help your family every step of the way.

“one-stop shop” K-12th grade placement

A family’s decision to consider sending their child to a private school is a personal one. The school placement process should be, too. At Whitehead Learning Group, we take the time to listen, understand, and get to know every single student and family that we have the honor of partnering with. We are intentional and comprehensive—our one-of-a-kind process is confirmation of our mission. We’ll construct a value scan, natural strength inventory, self-awareness diagnostic, learning style preference, and academic assessment to create a tailor-made guide to discovering your child’s premium educational experience.

We strive to be a “one-stop shop” for the school planning process—from registration and strategy for the SSAT and JATP and school transcript guidance to interview prep and essay development. Whitehead Learning Group offers individual guidance to meet your student’s personal needs along with a tailor-made timeline. With expertise and experience within the Atlanta school market, our process is one-of-kind to ensure our students are known, championed, and empowered to thrive.

interview prep

A stellar transcript, a top-notch application, excellent standardized test scores, a dynamic essay—and now, just one more hurdle to jump through: The admissions interview. This evaluation is an opportunity for admissions teams to weed through the data and get to know your child’s unique gifts, strengths, passions, goals, and interests—in just 30-45 minutes. We ensure that your application is doing its job as you push beyond what the school offers.

We’ll help your student know what how to highlight their academic strengths and off-campus involvement and make a memorable, personable impression with interviewers. At the end of the day, your child’s interview is an opportunity to demonstrate his or her marked value to the learning environment. We’ll share just what private school admissions teams are looking for, and how to best prepare.
